Overview

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of handledfinance.app and any services offered by Handled Finance, Inc. (“Handled,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using our site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our site.

Current product status

Handled is currently in pre-launch. The live product — which will connect to your bank account and invest on your behalf — is not yet available. At this time, our site collects waitlist signups and provides educational tools including a retirement calculator.

No investment accounts are opened, no trades are placed, and no money moves through Handled at this time. These Terms will be updated when the full product launches.

Not financial advice

Waitlist

Joining the waitlist does not guarantee access to Handled when it launches, create any contractual obligation, or constitute an agreement to purchase any product or service. We reserve the right to limit access, change the product, or discontinue the service at any time.

Acceptable use

When using our site, you agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our systems.
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract content from our site without permission.
• Interfere with the security, integrity, or availability of our services.
• Use our site for any unlawful purpose.

Intellectual property

All content on this site — including text, design, code, logos, and the Handled name — is owned by Handled Finance, Inc. and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

Third-party services

Our site links to or will integrate with third-party services including Google Firebase, Vercel, Plaid, and Alpaca. These services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Handled Finance, Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill — arising from your use of or inability to use our site or services.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of our site shall not exceed $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.

Disclaimer of warranties

Our site and services are provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that our site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Handled Finance, Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of our site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will post the updated version here with a new “Last updated” date. Your continued use of our site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. For material changes, we will notify waitlist members by email.
